In wet conditions at Newbury RFC, the Lambs took on the Bath Development Squad in a thrilling contest consisting of three 30-minute sections. Both teams tested their strength in a fast-paced, high-energy encounter.
The match started off tough for the Lambs, with Bath quickly taking a 12-0 lead in the opening minutes. However, staying true to our “fast and free” style of play, the Lambs fought back, winning the first section 14-12.
In the second 30-minute period, the Lambs showed their resilience and dominance on the field, pulling ahead to lead 26-24 in a fiercely competitive section of rugby.
The final section saw both teams battling toe-to-toe, but the Bath Development Squad ultimately proved too strong. The Lambs, despite a valiant effort, were edged out, with the match ending 43-31 in Bath’s favor.
We extend our thanks to Bath for this fantastic opportunity to test our boys against top-level competition and look forward to many more such encounters in the future.
