Final Score: Lambs 19 – 38 Coventry Academy
A brilliant game of fast, free-flowing rugby on a stunning Sunday afternoon saw the Lambs take on a strong Coventry Academy side. While the final score may not reflect it, the boys put in a huge shift, dominating large parts of the first half with high tempo and attacking intent.
Sam (15) was first on the score-sheet, picking up a wide ball to finish out wide. Ralph (13) followed up after a fantastic break from Jack (8) at halfway, showing great support play to dot down. One of the highlights of the match came from Debo, who ripped the ball in defence and broke from our own 22m, showcasing the Lambs’ trademark flair and ambition.
Despite our dominance early on, Coventry’s depth and fresh legs in the second half gave them the edge, allowing them to capitalise on opportunities and pull ahead on the scoreboard. That said, the energy, skill, and intent from the Lambs were undeniable, and the boys can take plenty of positives from the performance.
We take the learning, we move forward, and we come back stronger – ready for the next challenge against Boys Club of Wales.
